Instructions

I wanted something with a brim so I simply flipped up the bottom edge. Because I'm a beginner, I was confused about doing a single stitch into a chain space. I emailed Nicole who offered a few explanations, the best being to "feel" between single stitch posts to find the space. I found the best way to keep count was to put my stitch marker on the last slip stitch in each row.

Cute hat! Thanks for the explanation of the chain space. I received the Crochet Stitch Bible for Christmas and was trying a couple of the patterns but when I got the part about chain spaces, I was completely confused. The tip makes sense. :)
