This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:

Instructions

I've found that the breewax is a little tricky when it comes to latex paints. I like the finished product but getting it the way you want it may be a little difficult.

Difficulty:

Category: Home & Garden

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Unisex

Style: Romantic, Hipster, Cute

Materials

Liquid sander/deglosser+Shellac+SW latex acrylic paint+Golden Oak Briwax+Vinyl Stencil+Paintbrushes, rags etc.

What was your inspiration?

I have this mustardy yellow blanket that I just love and I've wanted to paint a piece of furniture the same color for a long time. After painting our master bedroom grey I figured it was time to spice up the room with a bit of color!

What are you most proud of?

I really love the way the stencil turned out! I was a little worried about the color (blue) I chose for the stencil but I think it turned out nicely.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Jump in! 80% of the stuff I already had on hand. The project cost me all of $25 (maybe). Just go for it!
