What was your inspiration?
This cake was a fun request. I was told that this teenagers birthday request was for anything Chuck Taylor & any color of finger nail polish....SO...that's what I did. I really had fun making the Chuck Taylors tennis shoes out of rice crispie & fondant (shoe laces are fun) and I sat there thinking that I really wanted to have the nail polish bottles clear just like the real thing, so after thinking about every possible option for this idea, I came across a lollipop that would be perfect! So I turned it upside down, trimmed down the stick and added a little fondant to look like a nail polish bottle...and it worked! She loved it and didn't want to eat it because it was so neat - those are the stories I like to hear!
