5" charm pack and children's fat quarters
What was your inspiration?
I wanted to make a quilt for Quilts for Kids that would be appropriate for a teenager. The organization doesn't get many quilts for the older children.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Purchase or make 5"charms. I sewed half square triangles from the charms and then alternated these blocks with 4 1/2" squares of fabric from some bright fat quarters. This is a quick project that has a lot of color and movement. Just play with the colors on your design wall as you put it together.
