I created the base card from light blue cardstock and scored it at the top so that my teddy bear card opens from the bottom. I layered the top panel with navy blue cardstock and followed that with a terra cotta cardstock and polka dotted paper reflecting my color scheme.

To create the inside card panel I took cream cardstock and matted it with navy blue cardstock. I embellished this panel with a strip of the polka dotted paper matted with navy blue and light blue cardstocks. I left the remainder of the panel blank so that teddy bear card is versatile and you can write your own personal note for whatever occasion you use the greeting card.
I handmade the envelope from heavy white cover stock and affixed a teddy bear punched from the patterned paper to the lower left corner to complement the teddy bear greeting card.

Create the top panel of the card before attaching it to the card base. This allows you to wrap the ends of the lace around to the back of the card panel giving the inside of the card a clean appearance.
