What materials did you use? Worsted weight yarn and store bought felt pieces from Hobby Lobby, on sale for $1.49 each. Tack on a little barrette, snap it on the top or side of the hat. Makes it so easy to wash, just remove the felted piece. Oh, and that Mary Englebright hat box is divine and perfect for gift giving. I found them at a local thrift store for $3.99 each. I'm sure you could find them on line somewhere.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? A simple little hat made sensational with a store bought felt piece! Just add a barrette and place it anywhere you like on the hat.
