What materials did you use? Bali Layer Cake 10" squares and coordinating Bali fabrics for borders, backing.

What are you most proud of? This is my first quilt in a long time. And the first quilt on my new Janome Horizon Memory Craft 8900 QCP. With the longer arm, I was able to do some decorative quilting with relative ease throughout the quilt. It is a start for more free-motion quilting to come.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Measure twice; cut once! Accurate cutting and squaring of the blocks is a must! Be aware that pre-cut blocks may not be precise, especially the larger cuts. But you can make that work, with patience. Pay attention to placement of colors, contrasts and repeat blocks.

This is beautiful and so love the colors and how you made the contrasts too. My kind of quilt!
