Instructions

I used the web there are good sites for instruction, Allcrafts.net and Be-stitched.com also a great blog http://totusmel.blogspot.com

Difficulty:

Category: Other

Type of item: Accessory

For: Home

Style: Retro / Vintage, Holiday, Classic

Materials

Crochet cotton two different weights.

What was your inspiration?

I wanted to learn something new, I had some left over crochet cotton from when I knitted some doilies and looked for a craft to use it on. I saw a you-tube video on Needle tatting and was off.

What are you most proud of?

I can see a difference from when I started, my loops are getting consistent and my tension is staying they same from the start of the piece to the end.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Be ready to start over a few times. I have many test samples. I just remember it is only string, and its been in my stash for years.

Thank you, I enjoy learning new crafts. The ornaments were the most fun to make. I changed each one just a little. I never did get the mat done, ended up using them as small doilies.
