This is my first tatting project and I was able to finish it...and I even think I will wear them!

I only just started shuttle tatting so I don't know for sure but I would think it could be done with needle tatting. Marilee said in the class that needle tatting tends to have a looser tension so you might have to stiffen the earings after you made them.
