Wow! I have my great grandmother's shuttle, with a spool of thread still attached, that sits as an heirloom piece of decor in my home studio. As far as I know, it came up to the Canadian Prairie with her from South Dakota, around 1923... You do beautiful work! Thank you for sharing =)

I think the first time it took me about too weeks - I can make one in a few days now. One needs to know how to tatt rings, chains, and split rings to make it, so it is not a super basic pattern - but in my humble opinion it is cool enough to be a good motivator to learn the techniques needed.

Do you mean using this same pattern? You will have to use thin thread indeed! Or do you just mean tatted earring? either way, that's great, have fun!

What a wonderful piece! I can make split rings, but the single shuttle split rings are new to me.

You can make this pattern using two shuttle split rings too, if you want.
