Pattern Info

This project was designed by Marilee Rockley.
Info can be found at:

The pattern "Carnival" is in a book by me called "Tatted Jewelry", published by Annie's Attic. »

Difficulty:

Category: Jewelry

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Casual, Funky

Materials

Lizbeth thread size 20 in color # 115, "Springtime", pressed glass pearls size 6mm, size 11/0 glass seed beads, and Swarovski crystals size 4mm.

What was your inspiration?

Fooling around with a vintage tatting pattern.

What are you most proud of?

I like how the round bead nestles into the curve at the top of the tatting.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

It's a one shuttle project, using rings, chains, and joins. There's also a lock chain at the top, made by tatting one half of a double stitch unflipped, the next half flipped. Since it's a small project, it's good for practicing tatting skills with beads.

I have long admired the elegant simplicity of this pattern! I agree with you, Marilee, the round bead fit just perfectly there. Lovely!
