What are you most proud of? I like how the round bead nestles into the curve at the top of the tatting.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? It's a one shuttle project, using rings, chains, and joins. There's also a lock chain at the top, made by tatting one half of a double stitch unflipped, the next half flipped. Since it's a small project, it's good for practicing tatting skills with beads.

I have long admired the elegant simplicity of this pattern! I agree with you, Marilee, the round bead fit just perfectly there. Lovely!

hi i have a issue i just started practicing with shuttle i love it. but i cannot pull the shuttle thread to make a ring i look at videos. but i still have a problem needle tatting i can do but not shuttle why i know how to make a ring., i love your work.what am i doing wrong?

It sounds like your double stitches have not "flipped", or transferred to the left hand working thread. The shuttle thread needs to slide inside of the double stitches. The double stitches are formed from the thread that's on the left hand.
