What materials did you use? Different styles of cotton fabric. Wadding (batting) made from bamboo.

What are you most proud of? The beautiful border (with the help of Eva Larkin Hawkins). The way I have aligned all of the rows and also the colour scheme I chose. All of the material themes mean something special to my father-in-law. This quilt is a King Single size and will be shipped to Macedonia from Australia!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Give lots of consideration and time to aligning all of your squares. Take the time to ensure that everything is squared and true and make sure your measurements are accurate. For a masculine quilt choose a masculine border design.

well done! I like your fabric choices.

Reply to this comment...Thanks befney. Yes, my father-in-law worked with tanks for the Yugoslav army, with optical rings, loves pens and tools and enjoys a bottle of wine now and again. The aussie animals are a little bit of me. I was lucky to find those fabrics.
