This was a pattern journal I picked up in Finland last winter for the tam, the mittens I saw on the internet and after a brief session, I just made my version of theirs

Materials

This is an old Novita yarn from Finland that has 90% wool and 10% camel hair in it which I found on ebay a long time ago

What was your inspiration?

This was the fourth version of the same tam I knitted last winter (sorry about the little pilling, I've actually worn these last winter). I like looking at other people's work as inspiration and rather shamelessly try to reproduce anything I like for fun, added with my love for birds = I love my little owls

What are you most proud of?

The eyes on the owls were the hardest part, I used two freshwater pearl rondelles and two head pins to turn them into little buttons and a stitch of yellow yarn for the beak.
