What was your inspiration?

My favorite color! I have been a long-time quilter, surface embellisher, etc. I never thought I could actually sew a tailored garment -- but so wanted to. I can't believe how inspirational Pam was as a teacher. I was able to succeed and overcome all my fears of set in sleeves, flat felled seams, etc etc etc. Thank you Pam -- you're my inspiration!

What are you most proud of?

That I persevered and finsihed this!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

I'm a plus size woman -- I needed to make the shirt larger to go over my hips, but the sleeves were too long and I didn't realize that until after I attached and finished the cuffs. So ... measure!

Hi Slippersmom, I am so happy to help you get over your fears of sewing clothing! Since you're a quilter, you are used to precision piecing. Making a shirt is just larger pieces of fabric being sewn together as a fabric puzzle. You're a Natural:-)) I love the color! I think you've done a fantastic job, and can't wait to see more from you. Thank you, Pam
