What advice would you give someone starting this project? I have made several shirts prior to this tute, and Pam has taught me some great tips which I now follow. Try french seams for the sleeve seams and side seams as this is easier and looks very professional. Use 'steam a seam' for the placement of the pocket and on the collar stand-that way you don't have to remove pins whilst sewing thus no movement of fabric. I use steam a seam on everything and it really helps - gives such a professional finish !

Hi Lexley! I love your shirt! The fabric is so beautiful, I'm sure that you get compliments every time you wear it ;-)) French seams are a nice alternative. Great job!! Thanks for posting your picture. Pam

Really cool Lexley, your work is so professional. Where do you buy steam a seam in Australia,? can't find it in Melbourne. Thanks Tina C

Thanks Tina, you should be able to find this at Spotlight.

Thanks Lexley, will try again next time I'm at Spotlight. Saw a ladies tie made from the same fabric as your shirt, really cute. When you get a minnie check out Flirtyshirtbibs from Hemden, a great idea especially for Brisbane weather
