Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Difficulty:

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Functional

For: Home

Style: Casual, Traditional, Ethnic

Materials

Cotton materials, fusible fleece, quilt binding, thread, sewing supplies, and tools. To modify the pattern - I added the little bit of color around the edges - using some bias tape. Then coming up with my own size - I made the trivets and the coasters myself - just downsizing the original pattern of the placemats.

What was your inspiration?

My daughter's wedding.
The fact that she was moving "out west" and her colors and tableware.

What are you most proud of?

How nice they looked on her table.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Take your time and figure out what you want it to look like as far as colors and patterns/textures.

I'm sorry- I've looked around for the magazine that I got the pattern out of, but to no avail. I will keep searching and if I find it, I will post it here. I remember it had Marie Osmond - so it may have been one of her designs. It may have been Quiltmaker.

I added the Monogram/Initials myself - using a satin stitch, on my little sewing machine- as I do not have an embroidery machine.
