Oh man, I love this! I have making a table runner on my "to do" list, and I think I may copy your HST idea! Thanks for the inspiration. What size squares did you use, and what size did this end up being the way you have it laid out here?

Thanks Heather, I used charm squares to make my HST. They are about 4 1/2 "before sewing them together. My runner is 16 1/2" x 32 1/2". I plan on adding a small border, I will post a pic when I finish.
