Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: After taking Nicholas Lodge's "The Ultimate Sugar Rose" I couldn't wait to make the roses for a upcoming wedding cake. I had so much fun making them and loved the results. The lace border was made using Mexican Paste with a Lace Border Mold by CK. For the pearls I simply used fondant and the Baroque Fondant and Gum Paste Mold by Wilton. I dusted the borders & roses with an ivory luster dust. I also covered the bottom board with rolled fondant.

What are you most proud of? The sugar roses.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? For the roses, I watched the course twice before starting and had my laptop nearby to review it I was unsure of something.
