What materials did you use? All those beloved shirts that our children want to hold onto. Cotton sashing or other parts of the shirts.

THIS IS A REALLY NICE PROJECT. I WOULD LIKE TO USE MY SON FOOTBALL T SHIRTS TO MAKE THIS. AS A BEGINNER QUILTER DO YOU THINK THIS WOULD BE OUT OF MY LEAD FOR NOW? IF NOT HOW WOULD I GET INSTRUCTIONS ON MAKING A T SHIRT QUILT?

I think as a beginner it is a great place to start. Here is a tuorial on making a t-shirt quilt. I love the Missouri Star Quilt Company. I take and create quilts in my "own style." She backs her shirt block with a stablizer and then irons around the printed area of the shirt. I DO NOT stablize mine. http://blog.missouriquiltco.com/t-shirt-quilting-made-easy/ If you need help and just have questions, please let me know. Remember that after your "quilt top" is completed, you will have to quilt or tie the layers together to complete the quilt. The binding is the last part of making your quilt. Good Luck! Cindi
