What was your inspiration?

I saw this on Maggie Weldon's Facebook page and just HAD to make it for my daughter! I LOVE this pattern and cannot recommend it enough! I have made 6 so far and I have 2 more in the works!

What are you most proud of?

That I was actually able to do it and she LOVES it!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Take it step by step and you will be fine! Also the crocheted part is pretty heavy and pulls the t-shirt down quite a bit, so this is perfect for those too short t-shirts you just aren't ready to give up cause they are so cute! And it gets some more wear out of the clothes! Use a thin lightweight yarn if the shirt you are using is the correct size.

I am going to try to make some for my little granddaughters! Doesn't look too hard except how to make the holes in the t-shirt is a question for the first row? Very cute.

Reply to this commentLooks like the you could use a sewing needle (big enough for yarn) to just stitch around to creat the loops on the t-shirt. just a thought incase you haven't tried it yet. This is makes me wish I had a daughter.

I used a tiny crochet hook and made the holes as I went along...takes getting the hang of, but worth it in the end. I take her too short shirts and make them dresses. Also take the too short leggings from winter and make shorts by cutting off and then crocheting a ruffle or something around the opening.
