What materials did you use? Lady's t shirt very inexpensive (52,200 stitches 70/10 ball point needle) and Man's medium heavy knit (75,000 stitches 70/10 ball point needle). Polyester embroidery thread. Mesh iron on stabilizer two sheets.

What are you most proud of? No puckering. The t shirt had a automotive grease stain so I used the appaloosa to hide it.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Buy designs that don't have heavy layering, so many designs have way too many stitches. You may pay more but they are worth the price you pay.

Beautiful! My favorite part is hiding the grease stain. Who would ever know! Great job on both shirts!

Thank you, yes I had only worn the t shirt once, grease just doesn't come out. I made the shirt for my neighbor he is young 26 (he helps me with the heavy lifting) really didn't think he would wear it but all his friends now want one, I was very surprised.

Do you know a good site for lighter stitch designs?

Some designs you can tell they won't be a problem, purchased these design from Floriani Embroidery they came and put on a class at my sewing store. They were not cheep but were on sale for the class. I can sure see the difference when they are used. They don't put layers upon layers designers get paid by how many stitches in a design so they tend to put more than needed. Good luck :):):)

Urban Threads have everything. I love their light stitch designs.

Thanks for the information, DeCoy Tigerpaw I had never seen that site before.

Thank you for the info. I did not know that designers get paid by the number of stitches- that is useful to know. Some designs are like boards although software now can intelligently remove unnecessary stitches. I checked out the Floriana website - this is new to me as it seems not to have a profile in the U.K. I liked the designs not only as the stitch out is, clearly, very good but they are designs and not just motifs! I downloaded a free design to try before buying. Your T-shirt looks fantastic.
