What materials did you use? Paula Nadelstern fabric for centers

What are you most proud of? I like the effect of the stack in the middle.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? this is not a project for a beginner, although the quilt block is NOT difficult, it does take a bit of planning and if you are going to stack the centers...then you are making it a little more challenging. But Hey, go for it!

After a nap today, I will finish the last block! Darns is my sister from another mother...lol. PamNZ...I run everywhere...lol. I was reflecting on my fall and flashed back to every time I fell as a kid on that knee and the tons of gravel I picked out. At least we know I have passed my bone density test! It's been a frustrating month of not being able to really get at it like I would like to. But I am well on the mend now and full of P & V! November will be mad crazy quilting!!!

We used to call it "brinky" - right on the brink of going crazy! GO QUILT!

Oh yes, Brinky...very good, I will have to use that in the future...pretty apt descriptor.

Reply to this comment...I actually didn't get any quilting done yesterday, I kind of felt a little nauseated, something going around, my friend had it Thursday, guess it was my turn. So, I slept all afternoon...that was lovely too...lol

Another beautiful block, you truly are the queen of stack and whack, the blocks you have made are SO awesome. So sorry about your fall, and pray you are on the road to feeling better. Do take care, and next time, don't run to your sewing machine :)

This is a beautiful block. Is there a pattern for it available?

11/05/2012 Flag

yes, it's called the Swoon Quilt. I have a link for it on the other blocks, but if you google it you will find it. This is not exactly a true Swoon, although the pieces are all there, the fabric choices have created something a bit different. This is going to be my center block I think. Only one more to go!

Nbryant, I put a link at the top for you

Yumm -- well, the fall didn't seem to affect your sense of design any! Gorgeous block! Can hardly wait to see them all together. Hope you're feeling better. November: Crazy Quilting!

For those of you who want to do this quilt...the pattern is called Swoon. Here is a link to get one. http://thimbleblossoms.bigcartel.com/product/swoon-pattern-142-pdf-pattern There is also a group on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/groups/1904864@N22/ That has some lovely variations of the block using different fabrics. Lots of inspiration there!
