What was your inspiration?
The Firecracker version popped in my head and woke me up in the middle of the night, and is what the pattern is technically written for. The other variations came to life as I was testing the various sizes.
What are you most proud of?
Seeing my thoughts come to life.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
READ ALL OF THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE STARTING! There are several helpful tips in the Notes section and could save you a lot of confusion when you actually start making your hat. Also, do not skip testing your gauge with the yarn you intend to use to make the hat. It is up to you to insure you use the right hook to get the size you need.
