I just did a practice piece with contrasting thread so I could see where I was going better. That did help but making nice round swirls is going to take a lot of practice!Category: Quilting

What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Haha, just look and see ... I'm not qualified to give advice. But seriously just enjoy the process. I never preshrink my fabric so after the quilt is made and washed that first time it shrinks a bit. That gives the quilt lots of texture and makes it a bit difficult to see that the quilting isn't perfect. Plus it looks nice and old and comfy.
