What materials did you use? Cotton fabrics and batting

What are you most proud of? This is an easy pattern to follow and lots of fun to make. I've worked very hard to write the pattern instructions so you don't have to guess with incomplete steps. I've included lots of diagrams. My students say this is a very fun technique and several have gone on to make more runners and placemats to coordiante.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? It's always a good idea to read the instructions completely before starting.

is there a specific way to sew the wedges together to create the curved wave?

Yes, did you buy and download my pattern?

07/02/2016 Flag

yes, but I don't know if I sew all of the strips from the same start point

Do you see the chart how to place them?

07/02/2016 Flag

the chart only indicated 1 up, 5 down, 5 up, 5 down, 5 up and the last one down. it did not indicate whether or not the points of the wedges should be even with each other or off set. I put them even with each other, but in doing so did not get the same wave pattern as the samples showed.

The ends will line up but give you the movement, 5 smaller ends and 5 wider ends. I'm sorry this is confusing you. Are you alternating the wider and smaller ends with 5 small next to each other, than 5 wider ends next to each other?

Also, do you see page 6?

Just curious, when did you buy this pattern?

We're you able to sew the runner? I'd love to see a picture of it.
