Thank you Jenel, it would''ve looked fabulous on the whole quilt. My batting was too thick for this type of quilting and I was afraid that the quilt was going to turn out too stiff so I went with an overall looser pattern

I was going to quilt this pattern all over, but I found it too dense for the thick batting I had. After quilting half the block I decided on the meandering and spiky quilting instead.

So this is the same quilt with the 8s on the border! It turnes so beautiful! A started experimenting with densier quilting on low loft waddings too. And I still find the stiffer than I am used to.o. Will wash intensively maybe :)
