What was your inspiration?
Two fabrics that I had bought to make something for my little boy, and the fact that he needed bags for starting school!
What are you most proud of?
The detail on the drawstring bag - I stitched ribbon over some of the seams and topstitched others with decorative stitches.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
With the messenger bag, I did the final stage the opposite way round to the way Zaaberry suggests. I turned the outer bag inside out, and put the lining inside, right sides together. It was easier than stretching the lining around the outside, I think.
