What materials did you use? Storybook Ukraina hand spun yarn made of hand dyed blue faced leicester wool which was blended on a hackle and hand pulled into top.

What are you most proud of? That the little hat got made and even though it wasn't my favorite yarn or coming out the way I had imagined, by adding the earflaps and single crochet it seemed to work out anyway. Thank you Stefanie for the great class you taught. And I do enjoy steaming the hats, it really is like you are shaping them.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Remember to make your 'wish square' - gauge swatch. I didn't for this hat and so there was an element of wondering that was going on.

Such a cute hat! One of the preschoolers has a solid color green one like this and all the mom's were raving about how cute it is. Homemade by his Aunt:)

is it hard to add the "ears" on the patterne of the sweet pea hat? How do you do it?

I'm interested to add ears too as I need them to cover my grandson's hearing aids so he doesn't lose them. Love to get your direction. And I will research. Thanks -Jen

Update: I'm finding some other patterns, but should have asked you more specifically regarding this one. (I'm just starting the class and hoping Stefanie will touch on this too). Did you start the pattern by doing the ear flaps first?
