This pattern is a great confidence booster. It is quick and fun. You can adapt it in several ways to make it uniquely yours for a child or an adult. I love this pattern and I highly recommend Stephanie Japel's class: Circular Knit Lab: Hats Four Ways.Difficulty:

Materials
Bulky wt yarn. Sorry. I didn't save the label..
What was your inspiration?
I can't take any credit whatsoever. I followed Stephanie's directions. I used yarn that I had on-hand. That's it.
What are you most proud of?
I am a very impatient knitter. I am proud that I actually ripped out when I found that I had goofed a few rows back instead of throwing it in a bag and calling it quits because I really got great satisfaction out of completing this.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Hang in there. Don't give up if it doesn't look perfect. Mine looked a little funny at the line where I switched from circular to DPNs but Stephanie told me that blocking it with my steam iron might take care of it. She was absolutely right! After I made this one, I immediately had to make another and put a tassle on it. This hat knits up fast. I highly recommend the class for making hats that fit. I made two so far and both fit perfectly.
