Sweet & Sour Table Runner

Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Quick-Strip Paper Piecing »

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Home

Style: Traditional

Materials

Coordinating fabrics from the Sweet & Sour collection from Connecting Threads, Warm & Natural batting, Machine feet used: Walking, BSR free motion, 1/4 inch

What was your inspiration?

I like the quick strip process and wanted to complete a sampler of a few of the blocks before working on a larger project. I am particularly intrigued by the NY Beauty block and have begun to work on the full size pattern included with the course.

What are you most proud of?

The way the colors work together and the quilting. The foto doesn't do the quilting justice. I combined this course and quilting ideas from the machine quilting and beyond course.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Have fun. Its like a puzzle. Anticipating what the block will look like is exciting.

You did a really great job with the color placement in your table runner! Those are truly yummy fabrics, and your quilting really sets off the blocks - beautifully done!
