Materials

A Basic Sweatshirt, and assorted cotton fabrics.

What was your inspiration?

I saw the video a long time ago on you tube and wanted to try it out some day. I decided that I had waited long enough and had a nice sweatshirt that was comfy, but stained, and needed to be saved from the landfill. After 3 days worth of work, the project was finished and I am quite pleased with the results.

What are you most proud of?

The stippling on the quilting design. Never before have I had luck with being able to do that and have it look decent.

I am also proud of the fact that I didn't have to buy the pattern, I watched the video, then used what I knew as a seamstress and quilter, to do it on my own.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Just have fun with it. It can be a blast!

WOW! If you hadn't said so I'd never guessed this was a sweatshirt! Looks like you'll get years more comfy wear and be stunning to boot!

Thanks Jean! Yes, it is a typical quilt sandwich, with the sweatshirt as the batting. ;-)
