What advice would you give someone starting this project? Measure, measure, measure, then make it bigger - they can grow into it, but if it's too small, you're screwed.

This sweater is the cover piece for the book "Weekend Crochet for Babies" by Sue Whiting. You can get it used at Amazon.com I made the hood a little bigger because it rains a lot here in the Pacific NW and I wanted to make sure those little heads stayed warm and dry :-)

Those are so cute, I like that they're a little longer than a regular cardigan, keeping little backs warm when they bend over.

I made the sleeves a little bigger at the cuff too - I am hoping that they will be able to wear them longer that way.
