Materials

A knit sweater that was about to be thrown out because it had a stain on the front. My Mother challenged me to find another use for it instead of throwing it away, so I made socks out of it!

What was your inspiration?

I had a sweater that was a great pattern, but had an ugly stain on the front that I couldn't remove. I wanted to upcycle it to something else, so I took 10 minutes, chopped off the sleeves and made socks!

What are you most proud of?

That I reused a garment, didn't add to the landfills, and I have a cute pair of socks to wear. Love it!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Go for it! It's super easy, costs ZERO $$, and you get a pair of socks too. Easy and fun.
