a sweater purchased at a thrift store
What was your inspiration?
I took this sweater home from a thrift store. It was a sample that had been doated by a yarn store (I assume). I tried in on several different times, each time it did not look good on me - but I bet it would be a beautiful scarf and or hat! I don't knit or crochet much, so the yarn is for sale. I like to "Unknit" is that wierd?
What are you most proud of?
It was great to find this sample sweater at a thrift store. I"m sure it was never worn. The tags were still in place! Who can pass up Alpaca and silk? Not me!!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
In my earlier project post, I listed a link to a good tutorial.
If you want to give it a try and have questions, you can contact me anytime! Becareful when choosing a sweater to unknit. Avoid sweaters that have pills or worn spots. Mohair is not a good choice, no matter how beautiful the sweater is. Take my word on that!
