What materials did you use? An old wool sweater from thrift shop. Remnant fabric for lining. dyed shell buttons

What are you most proud of? I can visualize how to use the features of the sweater to make a unique bag. My sister even gave me a sweater she was stumped on and I made it work! Before this I mostly worked with denim,,,old jeans. We know all the good thrift stores in our area! We are very proud of the fact our bags are made from repurposed items from thrift stores. This way we can keep our prices low and be kind to the Earth.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Make sure the sweater you use is at least 70% wool, has unique features and a colour you like. Visualize it as a bag. Turn it upside down to look at the opening of "the bag". The fun part is taking it out of the washer after you have shrunk it! Then you can see the final size and sometimes details that are more pronounced now!

These are really cute. I've been crocheting market bags and selling them this summer - might have to add some of these. I bet they'd be a big hit!
