What was your inspiration?
Two of my friends and I swapped quilt blocks quarterly for three years. This was the first quilt that I made using the blocks that we swapped. I wanted the border and sashing to pull the quilt together and I think that it did. The motif was hand painted after quilting.
What are you most proud of?
Every time I look at the quilt, I have fond thoughts of my friends.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Get a group together and start swapping. It is worth it.
