what a cute idea for the flared side pieces! Looking forward to seeing it in the fashion fabric.

Looks like a very pretty style. How wonderful to sew your own wedding dress!

Oy! Finally happy with the fit. I spent several hours with a friend and we over did it. Disastrous results. Went back to original and made a few modifications. Better, but still not as good as first muslin. Tinkered some more and finally got something acceptable. Went to my dry cleaner and asked the Korean lady owner to help me with a few last adjustments. She was so nice. Sewing crosses the language barrier.

I had a dicey moment with the basting construction when for some reason I have not determined, the front panel was 2 inches longer than it was supposed to be. Fortunately it was a simple fix. Glad I basted first!! Second fitting went well. I need to alter the sleeves but otherwise OK. On to construction. 20 days left to the wedding!
