Instructions

This dress was so easy to make. Although, I had a bit of trouble with stitching in the clear elastic along the neckline. It stretched a bit as the fabric is very stretchy. But you can't really tell so I'm going to leave it like it is. I also decided to try some decorative stitching along the neckline. I think it looks good!

Great job! The fabric looks like it has a nice drape. Love the belt! The decorative stitching around the neck looks nice too. How did you feel about working with decorative stitches on that stretchy fabric? Was it challenging? My machine has lots of decorative stitches, but I worry it would stretch out a knit.

Thanks Zanna. Yeah the fabric is quite thin but heavy-ish so it has a really nice drape. The decorative stitches weren't challenging at all. It didn't seem to stretch the fabric anymore than it already was from sewing on the clear elastic. I'm also planning on sewing on a belt, as real belts don't tend to stay where they should on me! Stay tuned. :)

Thanks Kitts. Yeah, it wasn't a great colour choice for my skin tone, but I found that the black made a nice contrast and I managed to make it work. :)
