Being allergic to latex blows and I've not used the strap at all until I found the tutorial by wee folk art. :)
I used a medium weight fabric for this particular project so I could have skipped the fusible fleece. But if you are using lightweight or quilting fabric, Using the fleece will add both body, durability (and comfort)!
Pin right sides of the short ends of the long piece to the short piece, sew using a 1/4" seam allowance.
Press the seams down and top stitch over the seam using matching thread.
Add fusible fleece according to directions.
Fold short ends wrong sides touching and press, Topstitch.
Fold strip length-wise and press lightly, pin and sew. be sure to backstitch well at each end.
Turn tube right side out and press flat, centering the seam (as pictured). Then Stitch edges flat using 1/8" seam allowance.
Pull your strap through. I made mine too small so I had to use a long wooden dowel to get it through.
This is my first tutorial of any kind-- I hope its usable. :)Inspired by the project by the ladies at wee folk art: http://weefolkart.com/content/camera-strap-fabric-sleeve
