Thank you! The woman who will receive the finished quilt is from Maine, so I was going for that look.

Beautiful! I think I have this pattern in a mini paper pieced quilt. After seeing yours, I'm wanting to do mine!

It's a lot of fun! It made me develop patience. When I started it, I think I reverse-pieced more than I actually pieced. Once I figured out I needed to slow down, things got better..

Paper piecing is probably my least favorite type of quilting to do, but I do love what people do with it. This one is truly amazing. I clicked on the line for the pattern and I must say I like your choice of fabrics better than those pictured on the front of the book. I may just have to buy a copy of that book and do the seascape of the desert scene.

Hi Karen - Thank you! This actually isn't paper piecing (which is why I decided to tackle it without an instructor there to guide me). It's just a lot of squares, rectangles and triangles. Lots and lots thereof (by the time I finished it, I was so sick of cutting 2 1/2" squares...) It is a lot of fun to make.
