Crochet cotton, size 10, in 350 yd. (320 m) balls - 3-7 balls of bright yellow; and a size 7 (1.65 mm) crochet hook.
What was your inspiration?
I've seen many patterns for shrugs and wanted to try my hand at one using connect-as-you-go motifs.
What are you most proud of?
Using hexagon-shaped motifs created challenges in working out the pattern, but also achieved a really fun design!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
If you love working with thread, this is a great project for the intermediate crocheter.
I would also suggest cutting out the front and back pieces from the assembly chart and taping them together for a visual of how the motifs fit together.
The shrug is offered in 3 sizes: 34", 42" and 46". It is also offered in 2 lengths - one that cascades to a point in the back, and one that is straight across the back.
