What is exciting or interesting to you about your photo(s)? I watched these two sunflowers grow outside the window of our meeting room and just couldn't resist photographing them when they fully opened.

Can you tell us about any special equipment or techniques that you used? The background was a solid grey wall and the photograph was adjusted in Lightroom follwed by a light application of Topaz Simplify.

The light coming from behind and below is nice! I bought a ring flash that goes around my camera lens and I use it to get a nice even light on my flowers but I think I will try using it off the camera to do back lighting. Thanks for the inspiration.

Another thing you can try if you like postprocessing is to apply an oval shaped vignette to darken the edges and make this central lighting effect. That is actually what I did here because the sunflowers were very close to the wall behind them and there was no way to use additional lighting.
