Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this piece. Painted from a photograph of the same topic. I will paint the same subject again after going through the lessons of "Flower bouquet in watercolour" to see how the teachings of this course help me improve the result.

Very nice, Eduardo -- I can feel the sun in this painting; you're off to a rousing start. A couple of suggestions for next time -- see if you can vary the flowers a little, so some move back and some move forward -- this will help you determine where your focus is also, which should be the area of greatest contrast in color and/or value. It looks like you've painted before, no? I love you're treatment of the background and your sense of light. Way to go.

Dear Mary, thank you for your very sound advice. I did try to orient some of the flowers differently, but tes, their treatment is fairly homogeneous and some variety would give it more liveliness, I'm sure. And, yes, I have painted before, on and off, but not many flower portraits, as I like to think of them. I will try to post some more soon. Thanks for a great course!

Stunning! That color blue is my favorite and I love the muted background.

Thank you! I am always fearful of how the background will come out, but watercolour does its own magic in spite of my best attempts to spoil it ;-)
