Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Whimsical, Cute

Materials

fat quarters of various colors, embroidery floss, sewing needles, sewing machine, Quilting done by: Betty Cyphers @ Cajah Mountain Quilting, Connelly Springs, NC

What was your inspiration?

I found this pattern in a catalog from Keepsake Quilting and HAD to have it.

What are you most proud of?

The cute faces on the quilt

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Have some experience with making Dresden Plates or practice making some with scraps before beginning this project. The hardest part for me was getting them to lie flat and that requires making sure you sew your seams at EXACTLY 1/4" and cutting your pieces exactly by the pattern. Patience !! Patience !!!

How big are your Dresden Plates on this quilt? I have been thinking of making a wall hanging of a dresden plate flower for a baby gift. These are adorable.
