www.daystyledesign.com - Leah Day's site - I found that before I took any courses. I then started to take one or two just to get my creativity flowing.

To create this project: 1. Photograph a yard hanging in this case the sun moon (from my yard) 2. Edited the photo in photoshop to create the desired effect 3. Print the photo onto material (8.5 X 11) 4. Attach borders to the size of the hanging you would like. I use 3.5" or 4" borders all round. 4. Pick your backing and quilt batting and make a quilt sandwich 5. Use your creativity and start to quilt from the centre out - use your imagination 6. I this quilt I used Angelina fibres, gold metallicthread to outline the sun moon , all metallic threads inside the sun/moon and beads on the butterly. 7. When you have the desired look - attach the border and on the back - the hanging sleeve.

The photo is printed on cotton fabric - then the imagination sets in - I do many of these with various photos I have taken - plants from my own garden, etc. I especially love to create birthchart quilts as well and will eventually post them. Imagination is such a wonderful thing....

I am intrigued by the base fabric of the quilt. The design has a Medival look. The embelishments gave it a 3D fantasy effect. Great job.
