What are you most proud of? The blanket stitch looks retro like the block.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? put your ideas down on paper (and Pellon) and make a quilt.

So cute. The purples are great for this block. I was so in love with Sunbonnet Sue when I was 8 or 10 years old. It's a true classic design that evolved more than 100 years ago and is still popular.

I thought purple HAD to be the color for it too. My husband saw my block and said my Sunbonnet Sue needed a face coming out of her bonnet....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr !! I took a deep breath and explained to him that THIS is how Sunbonnet Sues were always made from 100 years ago. Men just don't get it sometimes, LOL

Are these 12 inch blocks? Fabrics from your stash? What's next - roses with raindrops or whiskers on kittens?

Hi !! The background block is 12.5 then I add an inner border of 1" and a 2nd one of 2". The roses with raindrops sounds really romantic !! I have a list made of my favorite things and when I think of something I add it. When I get enough to make a quilt I'll stop and put it all together. This is a really fun project :)
