What was your inspiration?
Cindy Needham visited Australia last Year. A friend was very lucky to be able to go to one of her workshops. We were very lucky to see some of her projects she did with Cindy. The first piece Judy pulled out to show I was hooked. I visited Cindy's website and loved all but was particularly taken with the coloured ( Purple) quilt. So My Inspiration would have to be Cindy!!! :)
What are you most proud of?
Very proud that this is my design!!! I did get ideas from books and the outer feathers are from Peggy Holts Dream Feathers. The middle was a quilting block design that I played with. I am probably 80% happy with my quilting. Still have the awkward long stitch. The WOOOH!!! stitch I call it. Still got lots of quilting to do. Finish the cathedral windows and put something on the outside. The double Piano Keys might look good.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Don't be afraid of colour!!! Cindy's words not mine.... :)
