I've friends that have said they used to sew but trust me their idea of sewing and mine are not even close. Husband method is a complete waste of time so I just keep trying on and taking off. It is so exasperating.

Looking good Chrissy. Thank you so much for posting this. I'm at the muslin stage myself and I don't want to rely on just anybody to help me with the fitting. I'm thinking of paying a dressmaker for that. I'm especially hard to fit because I'm asymmetrical. Have any of you found a good means of fitting the muslin (besides the husband method!)

Thank you for the photos. I've just started and I'm wondering how much you added to the top of the back; was it about 2 inches?

Thanks everyone! I am stalled out on the underlining attachment - it is much harder than it looked in the video to get the fabric basted to the organza without bunching and with straight lines. :(

The fit is looking great. I really look forward to seeing the final dress. This helps me see how my fitting should look. Thanks

Looking really good. I think you should check the armhole size I think that is why you have the drag lines from armhole to side bust. I had the same fitting issue and had to make armholes bigger. Will be back to check on your progress.

Great job on your fitting! I'm also doing mine in a tropical weight wool (raspberry colored). Are you doing sleeves? I'm going for the 3/4 length sleeve.

No, I'm doing sleeveless. I think it will be a good basic to pair with different jackets, shawls, etc.

I havent committed to sleeves or sleeveless. Thats why I think Coutire is fantastic you can change things so easy.

I'm thinking of lowering the midriff so it starts at my narrowest measurement (about 1" lower than in the photos) and is either narrower or also ends lower than here. I think now it looks too much like an empire waist, and makes me look shorter and wider.

I found that the bodice was short and I had to drop it for some length in torso.

Thanks! I am trying to do all the fitting alone, with only occasionally help from my husband, who is afraid of pins. The fashion fabric is kind of boring - a light grey tropical weight wool. When this is done, I might try looking for a nice cotton print to do a more casual version with the full skirt.
