What was your inspiration?
I actually made this dress as part of a sew-a-long with Colleen of the Fashion Sewing Blog, back in July.
What are you most proud of?
I'm most proud that I completed my project and obtained a good fit!
After many years of sewing I'm still working on perfecting the fit of my clothes for myself. I can fit my clients great, but I'm still a work in progress.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This is a relatively simple dress to make. However, attention to instructions and detail are a must. Definitely measure twice and cut once.
I veered from the pattern just a bit when it came to facing the neckline, but it was my preference.
Stick to the pattern instructions and you will have a project to be proud of.
